Antique Hand Quilted Scrap Patchwork Quilt c1930s Folk Art Textile | Primitive Nine Patch & Checkerboard Quilt | Blue Border Vintage Bed Cover
Beautiful antique hand-quilted scrap patchwork quilt dating from approximately the 1920s–1940s. This one-of-a-kind folk art textile features dozens of tiny pieced cotton squares, checkerboard blocks, striped shirting fabrics, and an unusual asymmetrical layout framed by a blue border.
One of the most charming features of this quilt is a later novelty apple-print patch, likely added as a careful repair, telling part of the quilt's continuing story and reflects generations of use, care, and preservation.
Hand quilted throughout with a soft, beautifully aged surface showing the character and history collectors love. A wonderful example of resourceful Depression-era quilting and American textile craftsmanship.
