A charming antique pine chest of drawers, dating to the mid–late 19th century. Filled with character and a warm lived-in patina. This compact chest features a traditional two-over-three drawer configuration, with hand-turned wooden knobs and simple molded drawer fronts that lend a subtle decorative detail while maintaining its understated, utilitarian character.
Crafted from solid pine, the piece showcases honest craftsmanship with hand-cut dovetail drawer construction, plank sides, and a sturdy, well-proportioned form. The softly aged finish highlights the natural grain, knots, and tonal variation in the wood, creating a rich honey hue that has developed beautifully over time. The turned bun feet add a touch of refinement while grounding the piece with a classic silhouette.
Condition is consistent with good antique condition. There is visible wear throughout, including surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish variation, particularly along the top and drawer fronts. Minor shrinkage cracks, small losses, and edge wear are present, as expected with pine of this age. Drawer interiors are clean and functional, with smooth operation and solid joinery.
